Pike Follows Up Mr. MSU Performance with 2009 Homecoming Court Debut

In case you didn't already have enough reason to return to good ole' Murray, KY this coming MSU Homecoming weekend, the brothers of Epsilon Lambda would like to give you one more. Tyler Brockman, a junior active brother from Murray, KY will be appearing on this years Homecoming Court. 

Tyler is a Fall of 2006 initiate of the Gamma Omega pledge class and is the son of Tab and Beth Brockman. Tab was a 1977 iniate of the Alpha Omicron pledge class. Tyler not only has the honor being on Homecoming Court the weekend of October 9th-10th, he recently had a magnificent performance representing the brothers, as well as the sisters of Alpha Gamma Delta who nominated Tyler for the Mr. MSU contest. Tyler sang a number and was accompanied by several of his MSU football teammates as they aided Tyler as backup chorus. 

The brothers of Epsilon Lambda would like to wish Tyler all of the best with his opportunity to become 2009 Homecoming King and his efforts in the football game Saturday too. Tyler plays Fullback for the Racers on the Grid Iron. Above Tyler is pictured during his Mr. MSU performance Friday, September 25th.    

The Delta Zeta Pledge Class Fall 09'

 Formal fall rush took place the week of August 24th through August 31st. Pikes took the third most new members of all fraternities. 14 new members total were taken. They are, Jim Hudson, Mike Booth, Andrew James, Casey Brockman, Jordan Powell, Jake Denton, John Garland, Chastin Sheppard, Ben Sharp, Dan Thacker, Cortland Kemp, Charles Wade Garnett, Ethan Power, and Mike Teague. The actives are proud of the pledges we have taken, "...this is a well rounded group of guys" one active said. We are also proud that several legacies were taken this semester that will continue the tradition of Pi Kappa Alpha that their immediate family members have paved before them.
