In April 2009, the brothers of Epsilon Lambda  joined with the sisters of Alpha Gamma Delta and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (our chapter's philanthropic organization) to set up the 1st Walk to Cure Diabetes in Paducah.  The brothers volunteered their time and talent and helped to raise ove $90,000 to go toward finding a cure for Type 1 Diabetes.  The brothers look forward to contributing to this great philanthropic event in the future. Picture above are members of the Epsilon Lambda chapter and the sisters of Alpha Gamma Delta. Also pictured is recent alumni Tim Shelton, a fall of 2008 iniate of the Delta Delta pledge class. Tim is a former community service chairman and also battles diabetes himself. Also in the picture with Tim is Gam Brittany Lee Simmons, who like Tim battles diabetes. Together they were charged with the honor of starting off the walk.
